Bandraoi of Stonehenge

Pronounced Bwandhra - Gaelic meaning "Witch"

Tiara has always been a special girl. From the time she hit the ground running, she had EXTREME temperament and had no problem telling anyone that she did not care for them in the least to be breathing her air. Not only beautiful, but smart as well. I knew this girl would need just the right home. She could care less for strangers coming to look at them as puppies, and much preferred to be walking the perimeter of the yard and challenging anything that was out of place. When strangers did come, she stayed back and eyed them - not caring for them being around. I took her and her sisters as 2 mo olds to a show and she spent the whole time trying to keep everyone away from our area in a very determined and loud manner. Pure Fila through and through.

As she got older, I knew it was going to be harder to place her. Loveable with us, she just did NOT like anyone else. I knew that to find her the right home, they would have to know Fila and be willing to work with her on her time table in the beginning. I had pretty much settled myself into the fact she was with us for life. And there was no problem with that.

Then came Katie. Katie needed a baby - and I had a baby that I felt she would love - Mushu. Katie drove up here from northern Nevada to get her baby. After driving all nite and part of the day, she got here and I eagerly introduced her to the laid back, sweet Mushu. But something happened. When she walked in the door, Tiara (then called Siri Girl after her dad who she looks like) took a look at her and huffed... then all of a sudden, it was like the light came on. She ran to Katie and was all over her! It was like her long lost friend had finally shown up. She seemed to say "OMG! What took you so long to get here? I have been waiting such a long time!"

Katie was not planning on taking two babies home. But as I told her, Tiara picked her. There was a reason for that. And if she had room in her home and heart, I felt strongly that this little girl needed to be with her. I felt that Katie is exactly who the fates wanted Tiara to be with and why she waited so long to find her. Of course Katie, with her heart of gold, wanted her as well - so I sent Katie home with two 3 mo old sisters. :)

And I have to say, that it is one of the best decisions I have made in my life. Tiara has bloomed under Katie's care, as has Mushu. The girls are her life, as she is theirs. She is still hard as nails and takes her duties VERY seriously... but she loves her mommy so much and has learned so much with Katie. I say this to you every time we talk Katie, but I want to thank you again... for taking home the babies who waited for you to come. :) I cannot wait to see you three in June. :)
